DIDIUS JULIANUS, (28 March - 1 June 193 A.D.), silver denarius, issued March - May 193, Rome mint, obv. laureate head to right, around [I]MP CAES M DID [IV]LIAN AVG, rev. Didius Julianus standing left, holding globe and roll, around RECTOR ORBIS, (S.6074, RIC 3, RSC 15). Toned, edge chip and surface pitting, otherwise fine and very rare. $$ Ex Heritage Auctions 271726, lot 38133. In a slab by NGC, graded VG. Didius Julianus was murdered in the palace after a reign of only 66 days.
