SEPTIMIUS SEVERUS, (A.D. 193-211), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued 193, (3.25 g), obv. laureate head to right of Septimius Severus, around [IMP CAE L SEP] SEV PERT AVG, rev. Legionary eagle between two standards, decorated with capricorns, around LEG V III AVG, TR P COS in exergue (S.6302, RIC 11, RSC 267). Very fine and scarce.
