GORDIAN III, (A.D. 238-244), silver antoninianus, Rome mint, issued 241, (4.27 g), obv. radiate, draped and cuirassed bust right, around IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG, rev. around PM TR P IIII COS II P P, Apollo seated to left holding branch and resting arm on lyre, (S.8645, RIC 88, RSC 250). Light golden toning, extremely fine.
