VALERIAN II, son of Gallienus, (256-258 A.D.), base silver antoninianus, issued 257-258 A.D., Rome Mint, (4.16 g), obv. Radiate bust of Valerian II to right, draped, and cuirassed, around P C L VALERIANVS NOB CAES, Rev. PRINCIPI IVVENT around, Caesar Valerian standing to l. holding globe in his right hand and long sceptre in left hand, (S.10736, RIC 23, RSC 70). Gold and blue patination, good very fine.
