CONSTANTINE I, (A.D. 307-337), AE follis, issued 323-4, London mint, (2.96 g), obv. laureate head to right of Constantine I, around CONSTAN TINVS AG, rev. Victory advancing to right, holding trophy and branch, trampling captive on ground, around SARMATIA DEVICTA, in exergue PLON crescent, (S.16280, RIC 290, C.487). Struck on a broad flan, attractive brown patina, extremely fine, as struck with a fine portrait.

Ex Cae Bardd Guilsfield Hoard of 1983, acquired from Robert Sharman in London, April 1985, with dealer ticket.
