TRIO TO AFC: 1914-15 Star; British War Medal 1914-18; Victory Medal 1914-19. 248 Pte J.J.Cook. 13/Bn. A.I.F. on first medal, 2/Lieut J.J.Cook A.I.F. on last two medals. All medals impressed. Very fine.
Together with Lidcombe Tribute medal named to Luiet (sic) J J Cook; Lewis Gunner badge in gilt; gold bullion embroidered A on grey over blue circular patch (A for Anzac); AFC sweetheart badge (KC) in gilt and enamel; AFC enamel colour patch; framed officer appointment document named to James John Cook dated 1 October 1920 with four wartime photos all mat framed in a timber frame under perspex (approx size 43x54cm); a large collection of wartime b&w photos including some of crashed aircraft; handwritten training notes in 2 large exercise books - a most comprehensive set of notes with many drawings, written by James John Cook while in training with AFC in 1917 - the type of detail rarely seen and gives an insight into the training life of a WWI aviator.
