R.S.S.A.I.L.A, (Returned Sailors' Soldiers' Airmen's Imperial League of Australia) Merit badge, in voided gold and enamel (9ct; tot wt 8.76g; 28x27mm), by Stokes, pin-back with safety chain, reverse inscribed, 'Miss Pearl Coutts./New South Wales.'. Extremely Fine.

In September 1946 during the Returned Soldiers' League (NSW Branch) Congress in Sydney Miss Pearl Coutts of Centennial Park, Sydney was recognised for her meritorious work. Since August 1943 Miss Coutts collected about ?2,700 for various patriotic organisations, participated in Red Cross activities, did camouflage netting and paper mache, collected books for camp libraries, assisted at the Anzac Buffet and Merchant Navy Club and provided comforts for the RAN.
