Parkerville is a suburb in the Shire of Mundaring in Western Australia. Parkerville City was one of several 'Cities' created in October 1921 for the purpose of raising money for the children of the Parkerville Home. A fair was held and various stalls operated and many items offered for sale as well as dancing competitions and other events. No doubt the above medal was associated with this fundraising venture.
