"THE REFEREE" MEDALLION, in bronze (49.5mm), by Henry Dropsy, reverse inscribed, 'J.Herbert/Fremantle C.C./Winners/of West Australian C.A./Premiership,/1925 - 1926.'. Uneven toning, otherwise good very fine and scarce.

(Henry) James 'Jim' Herbert was born 24 April 1895 in Fremantle, Western Australia and died 21 November 1957 at Claremont, Western Australia. He was a right handed batsman and a right arm fast medium bowler. His career spanned from 1922 to 1927. Jim Herbert scored his first century, 113, playing for Fremantle against Claremont.
