NEW SOUTH WALES GOVERNMENT AMBULANCE, silver 10 Years Long Service Medal, reverse inscribed, 'Abermain Ambulance Class 1931/Reuben M./Chappell'. Toned, otherwise extremely fine.


Abermain is a small town located about 8 kilometres from Cessnock in the Hunter region of New South Wales. It was established in 1903 by workers in the nearby gold and coal mines. The Abermain Ambulance Class was a public body that trained ambulance officers, particularly for working within the mining community.
