EDINBURGH VOLUNTEER RIFLES, c1860s, rifle shooting competition medal, with seven clasps - V R, Daniel Blaikley 1861, John Hill 1862, James Blakeley 1863, Sergt J.Melrose 1864, James Blakeley 1865, Corpl.J.Blakeley 1866, engraved on reverse 'Presented/by/Captn Shand/to/No.9 Compy.E.R.V./1860' within closed wreath. Nearly extremely fine.
