FAMILY GROUP: (Uncle) Pair: British War Medal 1914-18; Victory Medal 1914-19. 16917 L-Cpl. A.A.Ross. 2-F.S.E. A.I.F.; (Nephew) Pair: War Medal 1939-45; Australia Service Medal 1939-45. NX144731 C.W.Ross. All medals impressed. Both pair of medals swing mounted and with some contact marks, otherwise extremely fine.

Together with Returned from Active Service (AIF) badge, reverse numbered 36641 (missing one lug); a pair of dog tags in aluminium (one circular and one hexagonal), named to 'NX144731/CE/Ross C W'; Artillery Sergeant metal arm badge with backing plate.

(Uncle) Alexander Arthur Ross, surveyor of mines, age 38, born at Newcastle, NSW; Enl.06Nov1916 at Show Ground Camp, Sydney, NSW, with 10 years service in Aust Light Horse (N57982) (unattached) and given permission to join AIF; Emb.10May1917 with Rfts for Field Sqn Engineers; to Engrs Trg Depot 25Jul1917 as sapper; TOS 2FSE 28Sep1917; to L/Cpl 17Aug1918; to hospital with malaria 14Nov1918; RTA 20Jul1919; Disemb.01Sep1919; Disch.15Oct1919.

(Nephew) Colin Walter Ross (251910), born 07Jul1917 at Mosman, NSW; Enl.29Dec1942 (251910) NX144731 at Newcastle, NSW; Disch.24May1945 as sergeant ex 360 Bty. Colin Walter Ross was the son of Walter Andre Ross, the brother of Alexander Arthur Ross.
