THIRTY NINERS ASSOC 1939, badge (KC), in gilt and enamel (22x25.5mm), by Stokes, double lug back with backing plate, reverse impressed with number 4080. Uncirculated.

Ex Barry McGown Scott Collection and previously from Colonial Auctions 13/7/05 (lot 1788).

The 'Thirty Niners' were men serving in the militia and other defence force reserves when World War II started and many of them volunteered for service.
