MCA WELCOME HOME, tribute fob, unusual in bronze (29x28.5mm), no maker, ring top suspension, reverse inscribed, 'To/Sgt.H.W.Dransfield./from the M.C.A./as a token of esteem/for Duty done during/The Great War/1914-1918'. Toned, good very fine.

Presumably this has been issued by an association in Maitland where Henry Dransfield was a resident.

Henry Walter Dransfield, bank clerk, age 20, born at Wallsend, Newcastle, NSW; Enl.17Nov1915 at West Maitland, with service in 14 Infy Signallers militia; Emb.14Mar1916; WIA 26Sep1917, GSW left arm, with 31Bn in France; RTA 12Mar1918; Disch.28Jun1918.
