PEN AND PENCIL PICTURES OF THE HOLY LAND, by J.L.Porter, D.D., L.L.D., President of Queen's College, Belfast, printed by Thomas Nelson And Sons, London, Edinburgh, and New York, 1886, hard cover (23.5x30.5cm) with gold blocking, 330pp with gold edging, illustrated throughout with b&w drawings. The first few pages loose and front and back cover loose, some loss of colour on cover, a few edge tears and some light foxing, otherwise fine.

Vendor advises that this book belonged to George Hopley Knowles, the father of Sir George Shaw Knowles CBE.
