NORMAN KINGS, William II, (1087-1100), silver penny, cross pattee and fleuree type, Winchester Mint, Leofing moneyer, issued 1095-1098, (1.40 g), obv. crowned bust facing holding sword, PILLEM R)E around, rev. cross pattee over cross fleuree in saltire, around +LIFINC ON PNCI, (N.855, S.1261, BMC-, SCBC 1261). Toned, very fine and extremely rare.
