THESSALY, Larissa, (420-400 B.C.), silver drachm (5.73 g), obv. naked youth restraining bull to left with dotted border, rev. horse prancing to right with long rein hanging, **LARI above, **[SAIA] below, within a shallow incuse circle, (S.2111, BCD 370/3 [Triton XV] for similar dies, SNG Munich 45 [similar obverse die]; HGC 4, 420). Slightly off centred on reverse otherwise about very fine and very scarce.
Ex BCD Collection who bought it in June 1998, with his ticket and photographs.
