SASANIAN KING, Yazdgird I, (A.D. 399-420), silver drachm, (3.99 g), mint LYW (Ardaxsir), obv. text in Pahlavi, crowned and cuirassed bust right, on floral ornament, wearing mural crown with frontal crescent and korymbos, rev. "Fire of Shahpur" in Pahlavi (crude), fire altar with attendants wearing mural crowns, crescent on right, letters on fire-altar, (cf.Sellwood 44, SNS Type IbI/1a var., Karlsson -, Gobl I/I cf.illustration 147, Sunrise 907). Bright, extremely fine, scarce.
