CARACALLA, (A.D. 198-217), silver antoninianus, issued 215, Rome mint, (4.99 g), obv. radiate bust draped and cuirassed bust to right of Caracalla, seen from behind, around ANTONINVS PIVS AVG GERM, rev. Venus standing facing head to left, holding sceptre and Victory, resting on shield, around VENVS VICTRIX, (S.6784, BMC 80, RIC 311c, RSC 608a). Toned, extremely fine and scarce.
