CONSTANS II, (641-668), gold solidus, lightweight issue of 23 siliquae, Constantinople Mint, issued 651/2-654, 6th officina, (4.29 g), obv. bust facing of Constans wearing chlamys and crown, around dN CON[StAN] TINUS PP AV, rev. cross potent on base and three steps, S to right, below CONOB, around VICTORIA AVGUS, (S.979, DOC 24c, MIB 44). Weak striking in places, good very fine and very scarce.
