SCOTT & CO, Bowling, 1876-92, uniface checkpiece in silvered bronze (32.5mm), obverse numbered 409, reverse with several stampings but lastly 60, with pierced hole at top edge. Fine.

This shipbuilding firm in Bowling, West Dunbartonshire, established in 1851 was known as Scott & MacGill until Thomas MacGill retired in 1876 and it became Scott & Co and remained so until 1892 when it was renamed to Scott and Sons.
