JOHN F.BOLT, handwritten note on Malaya, JIM note for ten dollars (P.M7c), 'John F.Bolt, Black sheep Squadron (Vella ha Vella) 1943' written across top of the back of the note. One diagonal fold, otherwise nearly uncirculated.

With certificate of authenticity from R.R.Auction catalogue 359, item 414 July 2010. With research.

The only marine flying ace of World War II and the Korean War. He was responsible for shooting down six Japanese planes in the Solomons and six Soviet MiGs in Korea ten years later.
