MALTA, Knights of Malta (Knights Hospitaller), Ferdinand Hompesch, Grand Master, (1797-1798), silver 30 tari, 40mm, (29.82 g), Valletta mint, dated 1798, obv. Bust left, rev. crowned double-headed eagle with coat-of-arms on breast, (Davenport 1611; KM 345.3). Extremely fine, attractively toned.
