THRACE, Kings of, Lysimachos, (323-281 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.30 g), Byzantium mint, late style of that issued c.2nd-1st century B.C., obv. head of Alexander to right, with diadem and horn of Ammon, rev. Athena enthroned to left, supporting Nike, spear behind, monogram of H**DR* left and BY on throne, trident below, to right **BASILEWS* to left **LUSIMACOU*, (cf.S.6816, De Callatay Group 3 obverse die D25/?, Thompson -, Muller 197). Toned, extremely fine and very scarce.
