MACEDON, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver hemidrachm, (2.07 g), Babylon mint, issued c.325-323 B.C. a life-time issue, obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin, dotted border, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, M to left, trace of **ALEXAND* to right, monogram under throne, dotted border, (cf.S.6733, Price 3605, M.675). Porous flan, otherwise good very fine and rare.
