BOIOTIA, Thebes, (382-363 B.C.), silver stater, Arka.. Magistrate, (12.11 g), obv. Boiotian shield, rev. amphora, in concave field, with two ivy leaves above, across letters AP KA either side, (cf.S.2398, Hepworth Series D4, No.14 [in list], BCD 537 [p.100, Triton IX], Head, Boeotia p.64, Weber 3271 [(p.309, Pl.123]), Traite III, 267 [Pl.CCI, 13], BMC 117-9 [p.81], SNG Delepierre 1299 [Pl.34]). Nearly extremely fine, some mint bloom on reverse, metal flaw on edge, very scarce.
