CORINTHIA, Corinth, silver stater, (c.345-307 B.C.), (8.25 g), obv. Pegasos flying to left Q beneath, rev. head of Athena to left, wearing laureated Corinthian helmet over leather cap, A major die break making the A a **P* lower left and P below, plough upwards behind, (cf.S.2629, Calciati 439 var. [p.265 [R.1021], two examples noted, Cammann NN&M 53 No.97 [p.96-7], Ravel 1021 var. [p.255, Pl.LXIII], cf.SNG Cop. 69-70 [Pl.2], cf.BMC 250-252 [p.26, Pl.XII, 3], HGC 4, 1848). Good very fine and very rare variety.

Ex Triton IV, a joint Classical Nunismatic Group and others sale December 5-6, 2000 (lot 1125 part).
One specimen noted by Ravel of type but none with this die crack variant.
