LYCAONIA, Laranda, (c.324-323 B.C.), silver obol, 10mm, (0.57 g), obv. facing head of Herakles, club over shoulder, H left, rev. forepart of a wolf right, star above, (S.-, SNG Levante -, SNG France -, SNG von Aulock -, Gokturk, Small Coins from Cilicia and Surroundings, in Mecanismes et innovations monetaires dans l'Anatolie achemenide pg. 149, 68). Very fine, toned, minor porosity, very rare.

Ex Dr L.J. Sherwin Collection, previously from CNG, May 9, 2007, eSale 164 (lot 82) with ticket, coming also from Harlem J. Berk with ticket attributing the coin to perhaps Tarsus in Cilicia.
