PERSIAN IMPERIAL COINAGE, Kingdom of, Artaxerxes I, (475-420 B.C.), struck in Lydia at Sardeis, silver siglos, (5.44 g), obv. king as bearded archer kneeling to right with spear and bow, obverse has a circular countermark, rev. oblong incuse punch, (S.4683, Noe Group VII (NNM 137), BMC 31 [p.152]), SNG Del 3028-9, Carradice [BAR 343] 26, type IIIb late, SNG Cop.274-7). Very fine and scarce.
