PERSIAN IMPERIAL COINAGE, Kingdom of, Artaxerxes I, (475-420 B.C.), struck in Lydia at Sardeis, silver siglos, (5.25 g), obv. king as bearded archer kneeling to right with spear and bow, some countermarks, rev. oblong incuse punch, (S.4683, Noe Group VII (NNM 137), BMC 31 [p.152]), SNG Del 3028-9, Carradice [BAR 343] 26, type IIIb late). Nearly very fine and scarce.
