BAKTRIA, Greco-Baktrian Kingdom, Zoilos II, (c.50-40 B.C.), silver drachm, 16mm, (2.51 g), obv. diademed, draped bust to right of Zoilos, rev, Athena Alkidemos advancing left, Kharosthi letters and monogram), (S.7708, Bopearachchi Serie 1 var; SNG ANS 1673; MIG 459i var., HGC 12, 465) (illustrated); others of Apollodotos I, (c.160-150 B.C.), square silver drachm, uncertain mint in Papopamisadai or Gandhara, 15x15mm, (1.81 g), obv. elephant to right, around **BASILEWS APOLLODOTOU SWTHROS*, KP monogram below, rev. humped bull standing right, Karoshthi legend around, w below, (S.7591, Bop. Series 4E, M.207c, HGC 12, 119); Menander, (c.160-145 B.C.), silver drachm, (2.27 g), Taxila M workshop, obv. laureate head of Menander to left thrusting a javelin, legend around, rev.
