CHARACENE, Kings of, Attambelos IV, (54/5-64/5 A.D.), AE tetradrachm, (14.68 g), Charax-Spasinu mint, dated SE 375(?) (AD 63/4), obv. diademed head right, rev. Herakles seated left on rock, holding club; monogram above arm, symbol below arm; TOE (date) in exergue. For coin: Alram -, cf. BMC 7 (for type; as Attambelos III); DCA 490 (listed as Attambelos III); another (14.05 g), with countermark monogram to right of nose on obverse, for c/m - (Dobbins 1), uncertain date. Fine - very fine, both scarce. (2)
