TIBERIUS, (A.D. 14-37) AE as, issued A.D. 35-36, (10.61 g), obv. laureate head of Tiberius to left, around TI CAESAR DIVI AVG F AVFGVST IMP VIII, rev. rudder superimposed on large banded globe, PONTIF MAX TR POT XXXVII, S C across. (cf.S1772, RIC 58, BMC 117). Delightful light brown patina, struck on a compact flan, very fine and rare in this condition.
