TRAJAN, (A.D. 98-117), AE as, Rome mint, issued 100, (9.53 g), obv. laureate head of Trajan to right, around IMP CAES NERVA TRAIAN AVG GERM P M, rev. Victory standing to left, holding palm branch and shield inscribed S P Q R, around TR POT COS III P P, S C across field, (S.3242, RIC 417, cf.C.628, BMC 740). Deep black-green patination, nearly extremely fine, score mark on reverse, very scarce.
