DIDIUS JULIANUS, (A.D. 193), AE sestertius, issued 193 (a reign of 66 days), Rome mint, (17.99 g), obv. laureate head to right of bearded Didius Julianus, around IMP CAES M DI[D SEVER IVLIAN AVG], rev. [CONCORD MILIT], Concordia standing to left, holding two standards, S C across field, (S.6075, RIC 14, C.3). Tooled on the reverse, nearly fine/very good and rare.

Ex Dr L.J. Sherwin bought from J.Anderson, Sydney, October 1, 1987, previously from Coin Galleries (New York) April 14, 1982 (lot 299).
