GETA, (A.D.209-212), silver denarius (3.21 g), Laodicea mint, issued 200 - 202, obv. P SEPTIMIVS GETA CAES, bare-headed draped and cuirassed bust to right, rev. [VI]CT AE TE RN around, Victory hovering to left holding open wreath with both hands over shield set on base, (S.7205, RIC 101, BMC 723, RSC 206). Toned, reverse slightly off centred, otherwise extremely fine a delightful coin.

Ex Triton VI, January 14-15, 2003, previously coming from the Marc Melcher Collection and bought in the New York Sale III, 7 December 2000, (lot 719).
