PUPIENUS, (238 A.D.), AE sestertius, Rome Mint, (18.32 g), obv. around IMP CAES M CLOD PVPIENVS AVG, laureate bust of Pupienus to right, draped and cuirased, rev. around PAX PVBLICA Pax seated left with olive branch and sceptre, S C below, (S.8539, RIC 22a, C.23, BMC 483). Brown patina, surface roughness, very good and scarce.
