GORDIAN III (A.D. 238-244),silver antoninianus, Rome Mint (4.62 g), obv. radiate and drapped bust right, around IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG, rev. Victory standing left with palm, resting sheild on captive at foot, around VICTORIA AETER (S.8662, RIC.154, RSC.348). Well struck, good extremely fine.
