JUSTINIAN I, (527-565), AE follis, Constantinople mint, (23.58 g), issued year 12 = 538-539, officina **D*, obv. Justinian bust facing, DN IVSTINI ANVS PP AVC, rev. M, **D* below, year X/II, CON in exergue, large thin flan, (S.163, DOC.37d, BMC 43, Hahn 95a.1d). Large flan, with green patination, otherwise nearly extremely fine and scarce.

Ex M.J. Syddell Collection, previously from Baldwin's London, April 1976 for ?37.
