AXUM, (Ethiopia), a collection of various issues in packets including anonymous issues c.370 A.D., AE 14mm, obv. draped bust right, wearing headcloth, rev. legend around, in centre a Greek cross, (Munro-Hay [M-H] type 52; BMC Axum 83); another Ouzebas, (c.380 A.D.), 16 mm, obv. draped bust right, wearing headcloth, flanked by two wheat stalks; cross above, legend around, rev. draped bust right, wearing headcloth, within gilded circle, (Munro-Hay type 54; BMC Axum 245-284); Kaleb (c.475-525 A.D.), similar (M-H 112); Wazena (c.675-690) similar (2) (M-H 118-120, Mitchiner 420), one ex Noble Sale 56 (lot 2313, illustrated); Joel (c.600-640 A.D.), obv. crowned and draped bust right, rev. Greek cross, (M-H 132, BMC Axum 476), (ex Noble Sale 41 (lot 2214) another (M-H 134, SACA 481; cf.
