(3RD VOLUNTEER BATTALION SOUTH WALES BORDERERS), token in brass (26mm) with milled edge, penny halfpenny, obverse, 'around top, 'N.C.O. Mess.', around bottom, 'Abertillery', reverse, denomination in centre within a beaded circle and around this a tulip head circle (YMT.BMT202). Very fine.

In 1906 H Company 3rd Volunteer Battalion South Wales Borders was based in Abertillery.
