TRIO: 1914-15 Star; British War Medal 1914-18; Victory Medal 1914-19. W.A.James, Surgeon on first medal, Surgeon W.A.James R.A.N.B. on second and third medals. All medals impressed. Court mounted to wear, very fine.
William A James, Consulting Surgeon on 'Hospital Ship No.VIII Grantala', previously a surgeon in the Royal Australian Naval Reserve who had seen service in the South Africa War, as part of the Australian Commonwealth Army Medical Corps. He was also on the staff of Melbourne General and Williamstown Hospitals.
