FOR GOD KING AND COUNTRY, in silvered (57mm) (C.F/4), by K.G.Luke, Melb, reverse inscribed, 'Welcome Home/to Cooma/2-5-47', and on plaque, '261274/S/Ldr.W.P.H.Dakin'. In a fitted case, tone spots, otherwise good very fine.

William Peter Harvey Dakin, born 10Jul1915; in 1937 was selected to represent Sydney University in the ski championships at Mt Hotham; graduated Bachelor of Surgery at Sydney University in 1939; William Peter Harvey Dakin MB, BS, Medical Branch, granted a commission as Flight Lieutenant in RAAF 24Jun1940; T/Squadron Leader 05Dec1945; Disch.20May1946 as Squadron Leader, 3 Airfield Construction Squadron; In 1952 was an alderman on Cooma Municipal Council; Died 29Jun1983.
