Esk is a small Queensland rural town in the Brisbane Valley. At the Esk Show, held under the auspices of the Esk Pastoral Agricultural & Industrial Association, Mary Scanlon won the prize for best essay by a boy or girl under 12 years of age attending any school in the Stanley electorate.
