ITALY, Lucania, Thurium (Thourioi), (c.350 B.C.), silver nomos, stater or didrachm, (7.35 g), obv. head of Athena to right wearing crested Athenian helmet, ornamented with figure of Skylla, rev. bull butting to right, traces of **QOURIWN*, tunny fish below in exergue, with traces of **MOLOSSOS* on exergue line, (cf.S.442; SNG ANS 1027 [similar dies], HN Italy 1785). Toned, flaw about 5.00 on reverse, otherwise very fine and rare.
