ITALY, Bruttium, Brettian League, (215-205 B.C.), AE 27 (reduced sextans), issued 208-203 (12.98 g), obv. helmeted head of bearded Ares to left, rev. **BRETTIWN* to left, rev. Hera Hoplosmia armed with spear and shield advancing right, fulmen [thunderbolt] to right, (S.702, SNG ANS 76, Scheu, Bronze 58, HN 2001); Campania, Suessa Aurunca. Circa 265-240 BC. AE 19, (5.59 g), obv. helmeted head of Minerva left, rev. cock standing right; star to upper left, (S.565. Sambon 873; HN Italy 449). Very fine; fine both very scarce. (2)
