ITALY, Calabria, Tarentum (Taras), (325-280 B.C.), silver diobol, (0.87 g), obv. head of Athena to left wearing crested Corinthian helmet, ornamented with Skylla, rev. Herakles standing to right strangling a lion, behind him a club above [TAP..], between legs XP monogram, (S.351, Vlasto 1370, SNG Cop.1129); Sicily, Syracuse, (485-479 B.C.), silver obol, (0.67 g), obv. Artemis-Arethusa head to right, diadem of beads, hair turned back, dotted border, rev. wheel of four spokes, (S.917, Boehringer 362, SNG Cop. 632); Arabia, Himyarites, (c.1st Century B.C.), silver half unit (hemi drachm?), (2.05 g), imitating the New Style coinage of Athens, obv. laureate male head right within wreath, rev. owl on amphora; two monograms, all within border of amphorae), (S.6126, SNG ANS 1475, BMC Arabia pg.59, 23). First and second coins very fine, third fine, with dark patina, scarce - rare. (3)
