SICILY, Akragas, (Agrigentum), (c. 520-472 B.C.), silver didrachm, (8.46 g), obv. eagle with closed wings standing to left, trace of A[KRA] behind, rev. crab within circular incuse field, Corinthian helmet to left below, (S.709, BMC 31, cf.SNG ANS 946-7). Pitted surface, and roughness otherwise fine - very fine and rare.
