THRACE, Mesembria, (450-350 B.C.), silver diobol (1.21 g), obv. crested helmet facing, rev. **MESA* in four quarters of a radiate wheel, (S.1673, SNG BMC 268-271, BMC 2-3). Very fine, scarce.

Ex Dr L.J. Sherwin Collection, previously from I.S.Wright, Wynyard, January 27, 1999, bought in France for 500 Fr.
