THESSALY, Pharkadon, (late 5th-early 4th century B.C.), silver obol, 11mm, (0.78 g), obv. horse trotting right dotted border, rev. / **F-[A] R KAD* (partially retrograde), Athena standing right, holding spear and shield; all within partial incuse square, (S.2184 [£120 VF], BCD Thessaly II 606 var. (ethnic); HGC 4, 297). Very fine, toned, rare.
